Hotel staff very friendly and bonus restaurant right downstairs!!! Stayed there numerous times and they have been amazing.. kudos to the cook and restaurant staff my food always comes out fast and is delicious and the dessert to go I posted below. You can’t find that any many places .. thank you again!!

I’ve stayed at some of the finest hotels around the world—complete with champagne welcomes, hot towels, and the full five-diamond treatment. But none of that compares to the warmth, kindness, and genuine hospitality I received from Valerie, the Night Manager at Capitol Plaza Hotel Montpelier, Tapestry Collection. From the moment I walked in, Valerie made me feel not just welcomed, but truly cared for. Her grace, attentiveness, and sincere demeanor set a tone that no luxury amenity can replicate. It was the kind of reception that stays with you—the kind that reminds you how impactful simple kindness can be. The hotel itself is beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly located, but it’s people like Valerie who elevate the experience from great to unforgettable. I’ll absolutely return—and recommend this hotel to anyone looking not just for a place to stay, but a place to feel at home.

Our stay at this hotel was truly wonderful! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome—everyone was incredibly friendly and always had a smile on their face. While the elevator was out of service during our visit, the team handled the situation beautifully. They upgraded us to a stunning corner room with amazing sunset views, which was also much larger than the room we originally booked. The only trade-off was having to climb five flights of stairs, but honestly, the beautiful room and the thoughtful service made it completely worth it. They took care of storing our bikes safely, offered complimentary coffee and water, and have a great on-site restaurant with a nice bar. The bartender was super friendly and made the experience even better. The location is perfect—everything is close by and easily accessible. Plus, they even waived the parking fee to make up for the elevator inconvenience, which we really appreciated. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again! The service, location, and the way they went above and beyond to make our stay special really stood out.

the BEST customer service ! Seriously this staff is what I’d call irreplaceable-they know the city super well and they are truly so welcoming, friendly, and passionate about hospitality. Sherry and Valerie were angels who demonstrate the true Hilton standard of excellent customer service. The ladies at the front are special because they make it a personable interaction every time and remembered our names, where we were from, asked us how we enjoyed the activities we had planned etc. That kind of service can be hard to come by these days! Erin & the other servers were also very helpful and efficient. I can’t wait to come back. Food was also delicious for breakfast and tasted fresh . Room was perfect- updated bathroom with rainfalll shower head and marble flooring. Very good AC/heating + wonderful window views of Montpelier. Housekeeping was reliable and assisted us with how to get to our room at checkin. Overall, 10/10 for the whole experience

Had to stay the night here after attempting to drive through a bad snow storm. The staff was so kind and friendly, especially Shelly at the front desk. She got me set up with a room and made sure I was okay after the rough drive, and offered some advice on local food options.

We got caught in the snow and couldn't make the drive to Boston to our hotel we previously booked. So we chose this hotel since it had a restaurant and was close to other parts of the city. I had probably one of the best porkchops here and would stay here again. Bartender was really nice too.

We have stayed at the Capitol Plaza numerous times and will be back again! Tough recovery after the flood but they bounced back. Friendly attentive , professional staff and lovely comfortable rooms.

Very beautiful fully renovated cozy hotel in perfect central location. Bedding highest quality I came across in Hiltons ever. It’s a historical building so rooms might seem not standardly specious as in the chain hotels. But it brings to the atmosphere a lot of charm.
